I Never Sent That
Maya Chen makes a living controlling other people’s crises.
Maya Chen makes a living controlling other people’s crises. Then she wakes to a message from her own account accusing one of her closest friends of sleeping with another friend’s fiancé, and claiming Maya helped cover it up. She sent nothing. The screenshots say otherwise. Soon Maya’s name is appearing everywhere: work messages, dating profiles, even voice notes that sound almost exactly like her. Whoever is doing this knows details only six women should know. Worse, the first accusation they manufacture turns out to be true. Suddenly disproving the messages isn’t enough. Every fake exposes another real betrayal, and each revelation gives Maya’s friends one more reason to wonder what she might be hiding. Then the technical evidence starts pointing back to Maya herself. To clear her name, Maya will have to work out which of her oldest friends is willing to destroy her—and why the trail keeps leading back to something all six of them agreed never to talk about again.
