Sloane Hatchwell has been hired to answer one expensive question: is championship-winning driver Rafa Costa still worth sponsoring? Rafa thinks she’s another image consultant sent to contain his latest scandal, until he discovers she can recommend ending the contract worth tens of millions. Then betting odds begin shifting before private race decisions become public. Soon fragments of Rafa’s sleep, injuries, heart rate and simulator performance are circulating among bettors. Someone close enough to know when he is vulnerable is selling that knowledge, and suspicion is starting to settle on Rafa himself. Sloane is supposed to remain independent. Instead, hostility turns intensely physical, and Rafa begins trusting her with weaknesses he hides from everyone else.
